Senior Full Stack Engineer (C#/Angular)
Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid)
Salary: €85,000–€90,000 gross (incl. holiday allowance)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours/week
About the role
We’re hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (C#/Angular) to join a growing IoT-focused technology business operating in the smart cities and infrastructure space.
You’ll play a central role in evolving an existing platform that combines IoT hardware and cloud-based software, transforming real-world sensor data into actionable insights for large-scale, real-world use cases. The product already has live pilots and strong market traction, and is now moving into a full production and scale phase.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership, working closely with product and IoT specialists, with a clear path to grow into a Lead Developer position as the team expands.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop scalable backend and frontend features.
- Build robust backend services using C# / .NET.
- Develop modern frontend applications using Angular.
- Integrate IoT data via MQTT, REST APIs, and WebSockets.
- Build real-time dashboards and data flows that make complex data easy to understand.
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with product and IoT teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Occasionally visit on-site deployments to understand real-world usage.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend experience with C# / .NET (recent versions).
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Frontend experience with Angular
- Hands-on experience with Azure, including setting up cloud components.
- Comfortable working on greenfield projects and taking ownership.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
- Interest in or experience with IoT systems (MQTT, device integrations).
- Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Comfortable in a startup/scale-up environment.
- Positive attitude toward AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Copilot).
