Freelance DevOps Engineer (Salesforce Release Focus) | Remote (Must be EU Timezone)
We’re working with a global company who’s hiring for a hands-on Freelance DevOps Engineer to take charge of day-to-day release execution across their Salesforce platform.
You will support, manage and streamline Salesforce release processes. The successful candidate will lead Copado implementation, configuration, and management efforts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, secure, and scalable CI/CD solutions.
This isn’t a strategic or architecture role. It’s for someone who enjoys being in the deep end of release cycles, copado pipelines, and metadata troubleshooting. If you know how components interact, what can go wrong during deployment, and how to fix it fast – this could be your ideal next step.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the configuration, management, and optimisation of Copado pipelines
- Execute and troubleshoot daily releases across multiple Salesforce orgs
- Monitor dependencies between components to prevent deployment errors
- Roll back failed changes and maintain deployment quality standards
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA across EU, India, and the US
You’ll be joining a lean, collaborative team that values clarity, accountability, and hands-on expertise. This role replaces an outgoing freelancer and offers plenty of scope to improve how things are done – without being pulled into high-level strategy or people management.
🧠 What You’ll Need
✅ 10+ years of experience in Salesforce environments (release, admin, or DevOps roles)
✅ 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience with Copado
✅ Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, version control, and release governance
✅ Copado certifications (Admin, Dev, or Architect)
✅ Comfortable managing release complexity, dependencies, and rollbacks
⭐️ Bonus points for:
- Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, or GitLab
- Experience working with Jira or Jenkins
- Background in global or distributed teams
📍 Location & Working Hours
- Remote within European time zones only
- Preference for Netherlands or UK
- Weekly office visits expected for NL-based candidates
- 32–40 hours/week (some flexibility around deployment windows)
💶 Compensation & Scope
- €Negotiable per hour
- Long-term freelance engagement (ongoing programme)
- Flexible start date – they can wait 4–8 weeks for the right person
This role needs someone who’s:
- Confident deploying in Copado daily
- Able to spot and manage component-level dependencies
- Comfortable troubleshooting failed releases and solving fast
- Collaborative, organised, and reliable during critical deployments
